Strong colour and fairly bright white paste make this one of the better garden centre auriculas of the seven I bought two years ago:
Odd, pointy-petalled, dull red flowers on one of the better of my ugly seedlings. Perhaps a good plant for an obscure corner of the garden.
Two of my “ugly” strain that look better (not bad at all) from behind:
Three dark buds under a papal bonnet.
The yellow garden centre auricula again, like a bundle of balloons pulled by the wind.
My first named fancy auricula, ‘Parakeet.’
Two more views of my first, and still finest, seedling auricula, now over ten years old.
