Big Plant on Campus

A plant I would grow, this hellebore is the early riser in a perennial border against a north-facing wall at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Soon the border and its south-facing neighbour will be masses of Alchemilla and Russian sage, cowslips and blue poppies, daisies and silver thistles, Astrantia, Phlox, Ligularia, Rudbeckia….

For the moment, this little hellebore owns the stage.
